Making products that give users a positive, revelatory experience gives me joy, and I aim for it every day in my work as an Industrial Designer. Everyone has had the experience at some point of coming across a product that solves a problem they hadn’t realized was there, and when it happens, you can’t imagine life before it. It completely changes your perspective on both the product and the problem it solved. That’s what the design experience is all about: changing the way people think in a meaningful way, and letting market success and brand recognition follow naturally.

• Attained user satisfaction for comfort and fit by updating the shape of the headphone fit attachment accessories through in-depth user testing such as one on one interviews to compare different concepts. With my knowledge in 3D prototyping, I was able to create high fidelity prototypes in various form factors. Also, I researched different types of materials and construction methods to find the best balance between comfort and durability. With the new design, the headphones fit firmly to broader ear sizes, and comfort for long term use is improved, which is critical to user needs.
• Led the Industrial Design effort to get the product ready for mass production. Such as, leading the creation of the 3D master model to fix non-tangent surfaces for the final tooling, managed CMF for the device and accessories, and creating high fidelity prototypes for user research and concept validation.

• Managed industrial design development for multiple complex technical programs and successfully released the products into the market, which was a high priority to Fluke business unit managers for projected revenue. The engineering teams are located in Austria Energy Power Quality team, Biomedical equipment in WA, and China electrical tester group.
• Delivered the first high precision non-contact digital meter into the market and solved the complexity of how to take measurement properly in eliminating false electrical reading, which can be dangerous. The ease of use of getting the right electrical measurement is achieved by using the observational method and one on one interview to discover the pain points that lead to incorrect voltage reading.
• Driven to find the best solution for a problem, ensured the project completed within a time frame and scope of work. Leading the brainstorming, the team implemented a ground button on the device without modifying a finished plastic part, which eliminated the need to spend $20,000 to alter the plastic injection tool and 1 month of extra work.

• Established the company presence in a competitive mobile gaming landscape by creating a distinctive brand language that conveys high quality and precession for Power A and Moga gaming peripherals.
• Built a corporate brand language by creating CMF and quality standards document. This document specifies colors, texture, and gap/step tolerance and being used by fellow team members for documentation and shared with our manufacturing partners to ensure the appearance consistency to the entire product line.
• Led the design for the development of the first gen Apple-Certified full feature iOS mobile controller for iPhone5/5s, and 5th Gen iPod Touch.
• Successfully manage the design and developed a PS4 game controller charging station in a very tight project schedule to meet the PS4 console launch.
